Mr. Noke has a very strong technical background, having worked as a consultant and advisor across a variety of notable institutions including Accenture, Debswana and Local Enterprise Authority (LEA). His strong sense of knowledge and intuition in the field has positioned him to be adept at the use of technology in business, monitoring utilisation of technology and suggesting ways to address productivity, quality and efficiency problems using technology.
Mr. Noke has a MEng (Hons) Computer Systems Engineering from Cardiff University.
Themba is a creative, proactive and result-oriented engineer with an entrepreneurial mind-set with almost 15 years’ experience and a proven track record in design, implementation, optimization and management of multifaceted projects with multiple deliverables, complex dependencies and multi-million Pula budgets.
Having led the projects, business development and sales departments in one of the Botswana’s oldest and largest ICT systems integrators, Themba is a multi-skilled professional with the ability to plan & manage territory whilst maintaining & developing existing and new customers through ethical sales methods and consistent high customer service.
Thabo Silitshena is a seasoned banker with end to end experience in banking. Thabo currently heads the Financial Institutions Group portfolio at Barclays Bank of Botswana in the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. Thabo joined Barclays in 2005 and has held a variety of roles across Operations, Risk & Governance Manager, business process re-engineering including time as the bank’s Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy between 2009 and 2014 when he moved to the bank’s CIB division. At CIB, Thabo headed the Global Clients portfolio as well as Transactional Banking Sales. In 2017 he was seconded to Barclays Bank Seychelles where he led the Transactional Banking team to significant portfolio growth. He has also had short stints at Barclays PLC and Barclays Tanzania related to strategy implementation.
Prior to joining Barclays Thabo worked as an Audit Officer at Grant Thornton. Thabo has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia and has completed a number of management development programmes, notably with the University of Stellenbosch and Duke Corporate Education. Thabo also serves as Deputy Chairman of Botswana Medical Aid (Bomaid), the country’s largest private medical scheme. He is chairman of Southview, Bomaid’s investment arm, and has previously served on the board of MRI Botswana as a non-executive director.
